Confirm Course Instruction Time

Courses meet each day (Monday–Friday) for live, virtual classroom discussion led by Stanford graduate student teaching assistants. Active participation in class discussion is key to creating an online community of engaged learners, and we expect all participants to attend class every day. Please read your admissions offer letter carefully to confirm the time your class will meet.

Preparing For Your Course

Participants are not required to do any reading or fulfill course assignments prior to the start of the program. We look forward to welcoming you to the course on the first day of the session!

Please note that some courses may require the purchase of additional materials such as course readers or textbooks. These materials are not included in the program tuition and will not exceed $100. Instructors are designing the course to select readily available items, and to prioritize resources that are available online.

Approximately two weeks in advance of the start of the program, we will provide you with specific details about your course and whether any additional materials are needed that will not be available online or in Canvas.
